Born in 1971 in Sofia.

In 2001 he graduated in medicine from the University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria
He entered the Second Surgical Clinic of UMBALSM "Pirogov" in January 2003 as a volunteer, and after 6 months began specialization in surgery.
In 2005, after winning a competition, he was appointed a research associate at the same clinic
Acquired the specialty of General Surgery in 2008.
His professional interests are in the field of minimally invasive surgery, visceral surgery, polytrauma and modern treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds.
Dr. michailov has repeatedly specialized in laparoscopic surgery in Bulgaria, Germany and Austria.
He has also been working at the Wound Treatment Center at the Pirogov Medical Center since 2010.
He is a member of the European Association for Wound Healing and the Bulgarian Wound Healing Association
There are publications in the field of emergency and planned abdominal surgery.
