Born in 1985 in Sofia.
He graduated from the Spanish Language High School in Sofia in 2004.
In 2011 he graduated as a Master of Medicine, and in 2014 as a Master of Health Management at the Medical University - Sofia.
He defended a specialty in neurosurgery in 2018.
In 2019 he successfully defended his dissertation in the field of congenital spinal deformities in children on the topic "Modern trends and opportunities in the treatment of Tetered-cord syndrome" and acquired the scientific title of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Tsekov has completed courses in Medical Psychology (2006 - 2007) and Modern Pharmacotherapy (2007 - 2008) at the Medical University - Sofia.
Dr. Tsekov speaks Spanish and English. Closely specialized expert in the field of spinal surgery and pediatric neurosurgery.
Since 2008 he has participated in over 70 Bulgarian and international scientific congresses and conferences, where he presented papers on the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial tumors, vascular lesions, spinal dysraphism, spinal pathology and traumatic brain injury, etc., many of which awarded prizes.
He has conducted a number of specializations and participations in courses on various neurosurgical topics (microneurosurgery, diseases and treatment of spinal diseases, trauma, hydrocephalus, etc.) in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Cyprus, Greece and others. In 2019 he acquired the scientific title "Doctor of Medical Sciences".
Since 2019 he has held the position of "Chief Assistant" at the Clinic of Neurosurgery of Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital, Sofia. He is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Neurosurgery and the Bulgarian Medical Union, as well as the Bulgarian Spinal Association.
2018 is the winner of the Doctor of the Year award of the Bulgarian Medical College.
2018 is the winner of the Young Doctor of the Year award of Acibadem.
